Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked brown riceNutrition
- 4 cups chicken stockNutrition
- 2 tsps allspiceNutrition
- 2 tbsps smoked paprikaNutrition
- 1 tbsp pepperNutrition
- 3 dashes saltNutrition
- 6 cups shredded Savoy cabbageNutrition
- 4 medium carrotsNutrition
- 3 cloves garlicNutrition
- 1 medium onionNutrition
- 3/4 lb ground beefNutrition
- 1 cup tomato sauceNutrition
- 3/4 lb ground porkNutrition
Directions
- 1Dice onion, garlic and carrot and sauté in olive oil until tender.
- 2Add pork and beef and cook until no longer pink, about 10-12 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, allspice and smoked paprika.
- 3Add cabbage and allow to wilt down. Once wilted, add in tomato sauce and chicken stock. Season to taste with salt and pepper and cook for about 30 minutes to let the cabbage cook all the way through and the flavors to mingle.
- 4While the soup is getting happy, make the rice according to the directions.
- 5Serve soup with rice on top. Just like stuffed cabbage, without all the mess. Enjoy!
