  1. 1Pell, core and chop up the apples (Granny Smith). Core and chop the red cabbage.
  2. 2Toss everything in a large pot or a crockpot and simmer until tender.
  3. 3Serve with cooked or grilled sausages.
  4. 4Note: tastes even better when reheated after a few days, but does not freeze well.
