Directions

  1. 1Sauté onions until tender.
  2. 2Add garlic, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, salt, cayenne, and turmeric.
  3. 3Cook for 1 minute over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. 4Mix in tomatoes and rinsed garbanzo beans. Simmer for 20 minutes and stir frequently.
  5. 5Great served with rice cooked with raisins.
  6. 6Note: makes 2 main dish or 4 side dish servings.
