Ingredients

  1. 1Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C). Open canned beans and put in colander and rinse well.
  2. 2Let all water drain from beans and put in large bowl.
  3. 3Add all seasonings and olive oil. Experiment with the seasonings to your taste. Place in cookie sheet in one layer as much as possible. Place on middle rack.
  4. 4Bake for 10 minutes. Take out, stir and turn the chickpeas. Put back in oven for 10 more minutes.
  5. 5Take out chickpeas, stir and turn again. Put oven on broil now on low and put the sheet on top rack for 10 minutes.
  6. 6Repeat step 5.
  7. 7Take out chickpeas. Taste one. They should have a distinctive supple "pop" for the crunchiness. If not, then repeat step 5.
  8. 8Place chickpeas in a bowl and enjoy.
