Crunchy Chickpea Fire
Spicy broiled/baked chickpeas, with a lovely pop of a crunch. Addicting and delicious.

- 1Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C). Open canned beans and put in colander and rinse well.
- 2Let all water drain from beans and put in large bowl.
- 3Add all seasonings and olive oil. Experiment with the seasonings to your taste. Place in cookie sheet in one layer as much as possible. Place on middle rack.
- 4Bake for 10 minutes. Take out, stir and turn the chickpeas. Put back in oven for 10 more minutes.
- 5Take out chickpeas, stir and turn again. Put oven on broil now on low and put the sheet on top rack for 10 minutes.
- 6Repeat step 5.
- 7Take out chickpeas. Taste one. They should have a distinctive supple "pop" for the crunchiness. If not, then repeat step 5.
- 8Place chickpeas in a bowl and enjoy.
