  1. 1In a large pot, cook sausage over medium heat until browned and no longer pink; drain.
  2. 2Add onions and garlic; sauté until tender.
  3. 3Add in the beans, broth, tomatoes, carrots, basil, and oregano; stir to mix. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
  4. 4Add the spinach and heat just until wilted.
  5. 5Add the cooked penne noodles last.
  6. 6Serve with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
