- 1In one bowl stir together rolled oats, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- 2In a separate bowl mix honey, canola oil and vanilla.
- 3Dump honey mixture over granola mixture, thoroughly combine by hand. Ensure that everything is evenly coated by honey.
- 4Heat oven to 300 °F (150 °C).
- 5Spread mixture in a thin, even layer on a baking sheet and place on center rack.
- 6Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- 7Cool completely, stirring occasionally to prevent clumping or group together for clusters. Stir any extras such as dried fruit, nuts, seeds, toasted coconut, etc. at this point.
- 8Store in an airtight container. Goes stale fast!
