  1. 1Pour olive oil into a large saucepan.
  2. 2Add garlic and sauté until lightly brown.
  3. 3Add tomatoes and simmer for approximately 30 minutes.
  4. 4Add the tomato paste and stir well.
  5. 5Add the spices and margarine and simmer for approximately 2 hours.
  6. 6To reduce tomato chunks in sauce, blend tomatoes before adding the tomato paste.
  7. 7Adjust the seasonings to your taste. If you like your sauce a little hot, add some chili to it.
