Bacon Rice
Tasty, filling rice dish with bacon, onions and mushrooms.

Directions
- 1Add wholemeal brown rice to saucepan of water and boil for the amount of time stated on packet.
- 2Fry chopped onion and mushrooms in another saucepan using low calorie spray. Alternatively, you could boil in water until tender.
- 3Grill or microwave 2 slices of lean bacon until tender.
- 4Add beef stock cube (e.g. Oxo) to rice when nearly cooked and stir in.
- 5Add cooked onions, mushrooms and chopped bacon to rice, before serving and stir in. Keep stirring until water is absorbed.
- 6Can be eaten on its own or add zero point vegetables such as carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans.
