- 1In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- 2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 3Beat in vanilla.
- 4Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture (the dough will be soft).
- 5Drop by teaspoonfuls 2" apart on to greased baking sheets.
- 6Bake at 375 °F (190 °C) for 7-8 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- 7Remove to wire racks to cool.
