Spicy Tilapia with Sweet and Sour Cabbage
A quick thrown together fish dish that can be used inside tortillas and eaten like fish tacos or broiled instead of fried.

Ingredients
- 1 packet sweetenerNutrition
- 1 tbsp salsaNutrition
- 1 cup shredded green cabbageNutrition
- 1 tsp chili powderNutrition
- 1 tsp paprikaNutrition
- 8 oz tilapia filletsNutrition
- 1 tbsp vinegarNutrition
- 1 tbsp olive oilNutrition
- 1/4 lemon yields lemon juiceNutrition
- 1 tbsp chopped purple onionNutrition
- 1/4 cup chopped or sliced tomatoNutrition
Directions
- 1Add shredded cabbage, purple onion, Splenda packet, vinegar, and lemon juice to a bowl.
- 2Mix and salt and pepper as needed. Set in the fridge to chill while cooking tilapia.
- 3Rinse and pat tilapia filets dry.
- 4Season with salt, pepper, paprika, pepper and chili powder (cumin or taco seasoning are great alternatives).
- 5Pre-heat grill pan to medium heat. Add olive oil to pan and fry fish on each side for 2-3 minutes (or until white and flaky at the sides and center).
- 6When cooked thoroughly break meat into smaller bite-sized chunks. Remove from heat.
- 7Mix cabbage salad and plate. Top with tilapia, tomato chunks, and salsa.
- 8Other fun adders could be: cilantro, jalapenos, avocado or sour cream.
