Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Terrific oatmeal raisin cookies with cinnamon, nutmeg and chocolate chips.

  1. 1Cream together butter, white sugar and brown sugar. Mix in vanilla and egg.
  2. 2Sift together flour, spices, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. 3Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and beat until combined.
  4. 4Mix in oatmeal, raisins, and chocolate chips.
  5. 5Drop by spoonful onto greased cookies sheet.
  6. 6Bake in preheated oven at 375° F (190° C) for approximately 12 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
  7. 7Note: based on recipe from Annabel Karmel's book "First Meals" for kids.
