  1. 1In non-stick pan, put margarine (like Becel or Promise) over medium-low heat till it starts to melt.
  2. 2Sift in the cornstarch (flour can be used too). Stir, ensuring no lumps are present.
  3. 3Start, slowly pouring milk into mixture.
  4. 4Keep whisking and toss in shredded cheese (you can use slices too) add seasonings to taste.
  5. 5Pour over steamed vegetables (cauliflower and broccoli especially good).
