  1. 1Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
  2. 2Mix butter, sugar and molasses until creamy.
  3. 3Add the egg and vanilla and mix until creamy.
  4. 4Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  5. 5Add oats.
  6. 6Drop small balls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. 7Bake for 12 minutes or until light golden brown.
