Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1Cover lentils with boiling water and allow to stand for 15 minutes.
  2. 2Heat olive oil in a pan and cook onions and garlic for 2 minutes.
  3. 3Add cumin seeds, turmeric and curry powder. Cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. 4Add mushrooms and green pepper. Stirfry for a further 2 minutes.
  5. 5Add stock and lentils. Cook over medium heat for 35-45 minutes, or until dhal thickens.
  6. 6Stir frequently to avoid sticking.
