Sugar Free Tomato Sauce
This sauce is so easy, and there is no need to buy jarred sauce. It tastes great on top of the chicken and roasted veggies.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup parmesean cheese, gratedNutrition
- 1 tsp leaves basilNutrition
- 1 tsp leaves oreganoNutrition
- 1 dash black pepperNutrition
- 1 tsp leaves thymeNutrition
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oilNutrition
- 3 tsps minced garlicNutrition
- 1 can tomato pasteNutrition
- 1 5 fl oz serving red wineNutrition
- 28 oz diced tomatoes, cannedNutrition
Directions
- 1In a large deep skillet sauté the finely chopped garlic in the extra virgin olive oil over medium-high heat.
- 2When the garlic is cooked, lower the heat and add the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Keep stirring until completely mixed together.
- 3Add the basil, thyme, oregano, and pepper to taste.
- 4Stir in the wine and lower the heat now to the lowest setting.
- 5Add the grated parmesan cheese.
- 6Cover the skillet and let simmer over the lowest heat setting for 20 to 30 minutes. Give it a good stir about 3 times during the simmering time.
