Angel Hair with Shrimp

Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakesNutrition
- 3 tsps minced garlicNutrition
- 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheeseNutrition
- 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oilNutrition
- 1/4 cup sliced almondsNutrition
- 1/2 young green onions, choppedNutrition
- 1/2 cup carrots, slicedNutrition
- 1 cup marinara pasta sauceNutrition
- 12 oz angel hair pasta dryNutrition
- 3 1/2 oz dry table wineNutrition
- 1 dash black pepperNutrition
- 2 tbsps basilNutrition
- 1 dash saltNutrition
- 1 cup shrimpNutrition
- 1/4 cup lemon juiceNutrition
- 2 tbsps parsleyNutrition
Directions
- 1Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add onion, parsley, garlic, and carrots, stir well.
- 2Add red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Continue cooking about 5 minutes until onion is browned, stirring frequently.
- 3Add marinara sauce and fresh basil. Cook 4 minutes stirring occasionally.
- 4Meanwhile cook pasta according to package directions.
- 5Place shrimp in skillet. Pour lemon juice and wine over shrimp. Cook 2 minutes
- 6Drain pasta. Toss pasta with sauce and all the ingredients in skillet. Top with parmesan cheese and toasted almonds.
