  1. 1Heat a grill, stovetop grill pan, or cast-iron skillet. Season with salt and black pepper and form 4 patties.
  2. 2When the grill is hot, add the burgers. Cook for 4 minutes either side.
  3. 3Add the chili peppers and Swiss cheese. To thoroughly cook the patty, cook for a further 10 minutes, until it becomes firm.
  4. 4Remove the burgers and toast the buns on the hot grill.
  5. 5Dress the bottom of the burger with tomatoes and red onion slices.
