Savory Seafood Stew
A tomato based seafood soup using white fish and scallops.

Ingredients
- 28 oz can crushed tomatoesNutrition
- 1 tbsp lemon juiceNutrition
- 1 medium red bell pepper, choppedNutrition
- 1 medium green bell pepper, choppedNutrition
- 1 cup clam juiceNutrition
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oilNutrition
- 16 oz bay scallopsNutrition
- 13 1/2 oz shrimpNutrition
- 1 tsp marjoramNutrition
- 2 tsps ground oreganoNutrition
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes, crushedNutrition
- 3 tbsps fresh basil leaves, choppedNutrition
- 1 dash saltNutrition
- 12 oz Hoki filletsNutrition
- 3 medium celery stalks, choppedNutrition
- 5 garlic cloves, pressedNutrition
- 1 large vidalia onion, choppedNutrition
- 4 fl oz red wineNutrition
Directions
- 1Heat olive oil in a soup pot over medium heat.
- 2Add onions and saute for 5 minutes. Add celery and peppers and saute for 2 minutes.
- 3Stir in garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano, marjoram and basil. Lower the heat, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
- 4Add the clam juice, tomatoes and wine. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- 5Add the fish, scallops and shrimp, cook until the seafood is just done, about 4-5 minutes.
- 6Stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7Note: top with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese if desired.
