Tricolor Penne with Sausage & Kale

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1Cook pasta according to box directions. Drain.
  2. 2Meanwhile cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks, about 3 minutes.
  3. 3Add kale, cook, stirring frequently, until limp, 3-5 minutes.
  4. 4Add broth to skillet and scrape up browned bits with a wooden spoon, season with original seasoning blend and pepper.
  5. 5Cover, reduce heat to low and cook until kale is tender, 5-10 minutes.
  6. 6Stir in pasta, heat through. Serve.
  7. 7Optional: sprinkle each serving with 1-2 tablespoons of shredded Parmesan cheese. Whole wheat pasta can be used instead of tricolor.
