Ingredients
- 1/2 cup crumbled fetaNutrition

- 1 lb ground turkeyNutrition
- 1 cup salsaNutrition
- 2 tbsps worcestershire sauceNutrition
- 1 cup asparagusNutrition
- 1 cup cauliflowerNutrition
- 4 tsps garlicNutrition
- 1 cup pieces or slices mushroomsNutrition
- 1 medium onionNutrition
- 1 medium orange bell pepperNutrition
- 1 serving 1 packet sugar substituteNutrition
- 1 lb lean ground beefNutrition
- 1/2 fl oz marsala wineNutrition
Directions
- 1In a saucepan, heat the olive oil and add the onion, garlic, seasoning salt and pepper.
- 2Cook until onions are softened, then add the marsala wine (about 3 tbsp) and cook for 5 minutes. Add to meat mixture below when doing cooking.
- 3Dice or chop all vegetables to a fine size. In a large mixing bowl add; meats, vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, crisps, basil, feta and 1/2 cup of salsa (save remainder for topping after baking) and mix.
- 4In a small bowl mix egg and egg substitute well and add to meat mixture.
- 5Bake at 375 °F (190 °C), in a loaf pan, (sprayed with olive oil) for about 45 minutes or until meat is cooked through and starting to brown on top.
- 6While baking; mix remaining salsa, parmesan cheese, dry mustard, ginger and sugar substitute (like Splenda brown sugar). Pour over the top and bake an additional 10 minutes.
- 7Note: This dish can be modified in many ways. This can be easily adjusted to fit most diets by adding or omitting ingredients. Add other vegetables to your liking and seasonings to your taste as well. Enjoy.
- 8Note: recipe includes 2 sourdough crisps (like Wasa brand) beaten up in a zip lock and 1/8 teaspoon of liquid smoke.
