Ingredients
- 2 whole bay leavesNutrition
- 1 tsp red pepper flakesNutrition
- 1/2 tsp leaves thymeNutrition
- 2 tsps saltNutrition
- 4 cubes beef bouillonNutrition
- 1/4 cup olive oilNutrition
- 1/4 tsp hot pepper sauceNutrition
- 1 cup chopped celeryNutrition
- 1 clove garlicNutrition
- 20 oz okraNutrition
- 1/2 cup chopped onionNutrition
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepperNutrition
- 2 cans diced tomatoesNutrition
- 4 cups waterNutrition
- 32 oz catfish filletsNutrition
Directions
- 1Bring water to a boil in a large pot.
- 2Add bouillon cubes to boiling water.
- 3In a separate skillet, add olive oil and sauté the onion, green pepper, garlic, and celery until tender.
- 4Add the sauteed vegetables, okra, and tomato to the pot.
- 5Add salt, pepper sauce, thyme, red pepper, and bay leaf.
- 6Let cook for at least 30 minutes.
- 7Add catfish and simmer for another 15 - 20 minutes.
- 8Serve and enjoy!
