- 1/2 cup buttermilk, low fatNutrition
- 1 medium eggNutrition
- 1 tsp cinnamonNutrition
- 1/2 tsp clovesNutrition
- 1 1/2 tsps gingerNutrition
- 1/4 tsp nutmegNutrition
- 1/2 tsp baking sodaNutrition
- 1/2 cup molassesNutrition
- 1/3 cup sugarNutrition
- 1 1/4 cups flourNutrition
- 1 oz applesauceNutrition
- 1 oz canola oilNutrition
Directions
- 1Combine flour, spices and baking soda in small bowl.
- 2Lightly beat egg. In large bowl, stir together sugar, buttermilk, oil, applesauce, molasses and egg.
- 3Add flour mix to wet ingredients and stir well.
- 4Bake for 25 minutes at 350 °F (175 °C).
- 5Cut into 4x4 = 16 squares.
