Directions

  1. 1Chop onion. Combine in a large pot with beef over medium heat, breaking up meat with a spoon.
  2. 2Cook until meat is no longer pink and onion is tender, about 10 minutes.
  3. 3Add the rest of the ingredients. Use more chili powder to taste if desired.
  4. 4Reduce heat and simmer for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. 5Serve in bowls with toppings of grated cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, and sour cream.
  6. 6Also can be served over rice or macaroni.
