  1. 1Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time.
  2. 2Sift salt, flour, baking powder, and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice).
  3. 3Mix honey with water and add alternately to first mixture with dry ingredients.
  4. 4Add raisins, figs, and nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan or angel cake pan.
  5. 5Bake at 375 °F (180 °C) until it tests done (about 1 or 1 1/2 hours).
